Induction Task

Why is your interest in Media more than a hobby?
  • I've done editing or been creative all of my life, I started editing at the age of 8 on simple programs like iMovie and Video Star throughout my teen years and came up with ideas of shows or books. The idea that you could create your own world is amazing to me.

I have done some paid work as an extra in a show called Rides (which hasn't aired in 5 years) and got to see first hand what creating a show was like (just a heads up, I loved it).

I've used a variety of media software, but only demos of them and occasionally I use Photoshop.

My favourite Actors are Milo Vengilmila and Mila Kunis. A show I love is Gilmore Girls with Milo Vengilmila which I watch on Netflix. A film which had a definite effect on me was Collateral Beauty. The way it's portrayed, shot, written and acted creates a beautiful movie with mystery, it's just a brilliant movie. My favourite director is David Frankel, he has directed movies like Marley & Me, Collateral Beauty and The Devil Wears Prada. All amazing movies in their own right, he has got an amazing portfolio I bet.

I usually use Vimeo or Youtube for Media Content and Netflix for watching content.

My first memory is watching Charlie and Lola with my Dad. Although I watch Media with me, myself and I (If not, I would watch shows with a friend or family member).

I'd love to do Editing or Directing, maybe a bit of screenwriting because I have so many ideas shuffling around in my head.

I would like to do some internships and BBC experience, I wouldn't mind working on a documentary, I find them quite interesting and I love learning new things (sounds cheesy I know, but I actually do).

I can't wait to shoot a documentary and edit it in this course!

I guess that's it. This is me.

Photoshop Task:

1.I have only used Photoshop once on my phone.
2.I got on with the tasks efficiently.
3.However, I was lost on how to plump lips and it confused me.
4. My favourite bit was smoothing out the skin.
